Oh my god, you guys… I’m OBSESSED with these. I may or may not have eaten all of them in one day (oops). Figs are in peak season right now, perfectly sweet, jammy, and full of fiber. The combo of rich dark chocolate, juicy figs, the crunch from pistachios, and a hint of vanilla sea salt = pure magic.
Plus, this version gets a major beauty + gut health boost with collagen melted into the chocolate. Healthy, happy life and delicious treats? Yes, please.
Ingredients:
-
6 brown turkey figs, cut in half (packed with gut-friendly fiber + antioxidants)
-
1 tbsp coconut oil (healthy fats to support skin + metabolism)
-
1 dark chocolate bar (love using Hu Kitchen) (rich in polyphenols for heart and skin health)
-
1 scoop Sera & Mattina Collagen Peptides (promotes skin elasticity + supports gut lining)
-
1 tbsp crushed pistachios (healthy fats + vitamin B6 for energy + skin)
-
Sprinkle of vanilla sea salt (or regular sea salt) ( balances flavors + minerals)
Directions:
-
Melt your chocolate bar, coconut oil, and Sera & Mattina Collagen Peptides in a double boiler. No double boiler? No worries, fill a large bowl with very hot water and place your chocolate mixture in a smaller bowl on top to melt slowly.
-
Dip your fig halves into the melted chocolate.
-
Place on parchment paper, sprinkle with crushed pistachios and a pinch of salt.
-
Let cool in the fridge or freezer until the chocolate hardens.
- Try not to eat them all in one sitting… or do.
Figs won’t be in season forever, so if you see them at the market, grab them! You’ll thank me later. These little bites are the perfect way to celebrate summer produce while giving your skin and gut a little love, too.
Enjoy!
